Test Specimen Customer: Fabral 3449 Hempland Road Lancaster, PA. 17604 Specimen: Grandrib 3 Metal Panel, 36" wide coverage x 29 ga. steel Testing Apparatus Force Gauge: Load Cell Central digital readout Load Cell, 20,000 lb capacity Deflection Gauges: Linear Potentiometers by Data Instruments Load Applicator: Hydraulic Ram, 20,000 lb capacity Theory of Procedure Tests were conducted per test method outlined in the ASTM E455-11 " Static Load Testing of Framed Floor or Roof Diaphragm Construction for Buildings", Cantilever Beam Diaphragm Test and as provided here -in. Project No. T232-19 Test Assembly The specimens were installed on the chamber frame in the vertical configuration. The mock- up consisted 2x4 (#2 SPF) supports located at 24" o.c. horizontal with the 29 ga. panels attached to the supports with #10-14 x 1" long, high -low tread, type 17pt.,with washer screws at supports. See fastener pattern detail for location of fasteners at intermediate supports and panel ends. The bottom of the mock-up had a pin connection on one side with a roller connection on the other side. See attached drawings for assembly details. Test Procedure The test loads were applied as shown on the attached sketch. Initial readings were taken at the deflection points. At each loading increment deflection readings were recorded. The loading increments were as shown on the attached data sheets. Loading increments were continued until final load or failure of the specimen occurred.
