What is the estimated daily traffic to be generated? Will the traffic be primarily private vehicles or commercial trucks? The basement apartment we put in would generate only one and at most two private vehicles for a young couple. They would be coming and going from school, work, and other activities. 6. If proposed use is residential, describe number and type of dwelling units. Will this be student housing? Multi -family for young families, singles and couples, or elderly? Currently this home, found on 249 Mohawk in Rexburg, is a single family dwelling. We, Brian and Marybeth Lemon, have an accepted offer to buy this home. It is a very nice home, in fact, it is too big. Therefore, we would like to utilize this space and put in a basement apartment for a young couple that is going to BYU-Idaho. Therefore the home would be a multi -family home. We would live in the main and upper level while another couple would live in the basement. 8. How much parking is being provided on-site? Do the aisle widths and access points comply with the ordinance requirements? Has landscaping been provided in accordance with the ordinance? This home has a two -car garage and two more cars could be parked in front of the garage. Therefore, this home already has space for 4 cars. We would also be interested in cutting down the big pine tree to the south of the driveway because it's roots are lifting up the cement pads that make up the driveway. Then we would like to widen the driveway so that three cars could be parked in front of the garage. This would help with the water drainage from the house and also allow for guest parking. 10. What is the type of noise that will be generated by the use? What are the hours of noise generation? We would only be interested in renting the apartment to a young couple attending BYU-Idaho, so the noise generated above our own noise would be very minimal and would be during the daytime. 16. If a commercial, multi -family, or public assembly use, where is the nearest collector street? Arterial street? The house is found in a residential area that already has several houses with basement apartments. The nearest collector street is 2nd South and then Mohawk. (I could not get a hold of our real estate agent to get another copy of the official application which I already sent i n, so I sure hope that this will do and that it has all, the information that you need). We, Brian and Marybeth Lemon, currently residing at 322 E. 9W N. Basement Logan, Utah 84321, would like to put hi a basement apartment in our home (we have an accepted offer) located at 249 Mohawk Rexburg, Idaho 83440. 'Che legal description of the property is Portion 1, Black 2 Randall Indian Hills. The current owners are Lorin and Gale Weber, We will be closing on the home sometime between June 28th and July 191h. We would like to put in a basement apartment for a couple that is attending BYIJ-ldaho. (We would not rent it out to single students unless they were farnily). With a couple in .the apartment the iniffic would not increase significantly and neither would the noise generated from our home. 'There is already parking for 4 cars on the lol which is plenly. Although we would be interested in cutting down the pine tree in the front yard (because the roots are lifting up the driveway) and putting in a parking pad there so that visitors have a place to park. 1 have already talked with John Barry about the requirements and i n tinct he went up and looked at the basement already. We understand that we would have to put a big window coming out, of the bedroom, put in a kitchen, bury a fire extinguisher and a smoke detector, make a cement. sidewalk, and finish off the basement. When thi0s all done it would be. an incredible one bedroom apartment with washer -and drier hookups. (The basement even has it's own thermostat to the couple will not be cold and have no control over the heat). Our only question is: Does the kitchen have to have an outside window? We need to know the answer to this question before we start finishing off the basement. If you have any questions or need any more information please contact us at (435) 787-4656.
