Boyter, PE REVIEWED BY: Dan Sharp, PE SCOPE:______________________________________________________________________________________ Per your request Noesis Engineering Services (NES) has completed a FEMA Flood ElevaƟon analysis of the new building addiƟon at 1693 N 7th E in Sugar City, ID. As shown in the aƩached analysis report the exisƟng building and building addiƟon are near the FEMA Zone A area which requires a Flood ElevaƟon CerƟficaƟon. However, the new building addiƟon and exisƟng building it aƩaches to are in FEMA Zone X meaning no Flood ElevaƟon CerƟficaƟon needs to be filed. NES checked the exisƟng floor elevaƟon and found that it is 1Ō over the flood elevaƟon nearest to the building. The exisƟng ground elevaƟon around the building are also over the flood elevaƟon. It should be noted that the flood elevaƟon is based on a 1percent chance of being equaled or exceeded each year. Meaning that there will be floods higher than this level, however, the likelihood is small enough that FEMA doesn't require flood insurance purchase. The FEMA maps shows the buildings are in the Zone X unshaded area which, per FEMA, reduces the risk of flood down to 0.2percent annual chance. Boyter, PE REVIEWED BY: Dan Sharp, PE The exisƟng building and building addiƟon are in Zone X, therefore, a ElevaƟon CerƟficaƟon is not required. However, since it is close to the boundary NES has completed the following anlaysis to show how close the finished floor elevaƟon is to the Base Flood ElevaƟon.
