I am also attaching other drawings in order to address Revision Response requests from Plan Review. Comments from Committee members contained in emails forwarded by you have been received and reviewed. The siding, fascia and roofing materials for the Covered Storage building will match the existing Farm Store and addition: Roofing to match existing color and profile. Fascia to match existing color and profile. Siding to match existing profile and painted new color, Benjamin Moore AC 33 Mesa Verde Tan. Exposed posts to be Benjamin Moore HC 69 Whittall Brown. The West elevation of the Warehouse addition will remain as re-submitted with two windows high and centered on the ridge. The Site/Landscape plan shows trees placed, as discussed during the meeting, West of the Covered Storage and West of the Warehouse addition in the existing landscape buffer. A more complete landscape plan is not included. No changes to the existing trees, shrubs and lawn on the West, North and South sides of the property are proposed. Valley Wide understands the concerns regarding incidental exterior storage. The proposed Covered Storage building is a direct response to concerns expressed by the City. Items currently stored around the sides and back of the existing building will be moved into the Warehouse addition and Covered Storage building. However, I would continue to urge the commission to distinguish between “storage” and “display”. Inherent to a Farm Store are items that are too large or inappropriate to store inside. We are not alone, Walmart, Maverick, Lowes, Home Depot, Cal Ranch etc. all have merchandise displayed outside. The gate rack will be re-located to inside the fenced area at the Covered Storage building. Equipment, trailers and other items will continue to be displayed outside along the West side and near the Northwest and Southwest corners of the building. Under the porches near the front, lawn mowers and fertilizers will be displayed. Display along the West side of the building will be kept to a minimum to ensure that vehicular access is not limited. Every effort will be made to keep display spaces orderly and uncluttered. The re-model to the Rexburg store is intended to put a fresh face on the business. Providing new spaces for incidental storage and outdoor display is essential to our efforts. Building Review response is as follows: 1 Structural Steel design as designed by Varco Pruden will accompany next permit application. Planning and Zoning Review responses are as follows: 1 The building height noted on the cover sheet has been amended. Height is also shown on the Building Elevations. 2 The Unloading/Loading areas are currently shown adjacent to each overhead door at the Warehouse. Additional notes requiring striping and identification have been added. 3 The Trash Enclosure has been re-located to the South side of property. 4 The local streets have been labeled.
