Accessible Means of Egress meets the requirements of IBC Section 1007 REVISIONSWhere a space is required to have 2 exits, then two accessible means of egress shall be provided (see comments on aisles). Existing accessible means of egress shall be maintained in alterations of existing buildings (commentary on exception 1). *Revisions Response : The tables and chairs within Classroom 250 have been rearranged and limited to less than 50, thus eliminating the need for a second means of egress. Aisles meet the requirements of IBC Section 1017 REVISIONSRoom 250, classroom plan, does not meet aisle width requirement for 2nd exit on east side of room. *Revisions Response : The tables and chairs within Classroom 250 have been rearranged and limited to less that 50, thus eliminating the need for a specific aisle width or a second means of egress from the room. Assembly Exiting meets the requirements of IBC Section 1028 REVISIONS* 20" is provided between chairs in room 240. (approved) * Aisle access width for seating at tables shall be measured to a line 19" from the table edge. 36" between tables leaves only 17" clear width (see IBC 1028.10.1) *Revisions Response : The number of occupants was reduced from 60 to less than 50, thus eliminating the need for an aisle access width to meet IBC 1028.10.1. See attached documents. Fire resistance rating of building elements meet the req. of IBC Sect 703, 704 Maintain rating of existing fire protected elements.
