Call Digline 72 hours prior to construction at 1-800-342-1585. Any subsurface utility damage caused due to lack of Digline notification shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. 2. Contractor shall notify the Engineer 48 hours in advance prior to construction. 3. This project will be constructed and tested to City of Rexburg standards and the latest Edition of the Idaho Standards for Public Works Construction (ISPWC). Materials and Workmanship shall be tested on all phases of construction. Testing methods shall be in accordance with the latest edition of the ISPWC. Engineer shall be present for the testing of materials and workmanship. Contractor to give 48 hour notice proir to testing of materials and workmanship. All test results must be submitted to Engineer. If any test fails, the contractor is responsible for any costsassociated with retesting.. Condition of all construction material is subject to Engineer inspection and approval before installation. Any damaged materials or products wilt be rejected. 4. The Pipe sfall be installed by persons qualified to erform said work and shall be in conformance with the manufac urer s recommendations as approved by the Engineer. All installation, materials and testing must conform to the current re uirem nts of the City of Rexburg and the latest edition of the Idaho Standards for Public Works Construction (ISF . Water Distribution Mains shall be constructed with PVC C900 or C-905 Water Pipe or equal as approved by the Engineer and City of Rexburg. 2. All Water Services shall be SIDR7 Poly pipe (200 PSI) in the size indicated in the plan sheets and shall have a minimum cover of 5 feet. Cap lines as in iicated on Plans after installation of the Water Mains. The trenches shall be compacted to 95% of maximum density to prevent further settlement. 3. All Mains shall be leak—tested, disinfected, flushed and bacteria tested before permanently activated by the City of Rexburg Municipal System. 4. Water and non—potable water mains shall be separated by a horizontal and vertical distance as required by ISPWC detail SD -407. 5. All Tees, Plugs, Caps and Bends, and at other locations where unbalanced forces exist, shall be secured and anchored by Concrete Thrust Blocks as shown in the ISPWC detail SD -403. 6. The Developer's Engineer and City Representative shall be present during all testing of the Water Line. The contractor shall give 48 hours no}ice to all parties prior to tests. 7. At all times, when laying Pipe is not in progress, gpen ends of the Pipe shall be closed by a Watertight Plug or other approved means. At the close of fhe day s work, or whenever workmen are absent from the fob, the end of the last laid section shall be tightly closed through use of plug or cap to prevent the entry of oreign material. 8. Tracer Wire shall be installed above Water Mains and Water Service Lines. It shall be tested for conductivity. A CAD weld is required where C-900 Water Line is connected to any existing Ductile Iron Water Line. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to verify that all new lines can be located.
