HomeMy WebLinkAboutAPPLICANT STAFF REVIEW RESPONSE - 19-00276 - 669 S 12th W - CUP Accessory ApartmentApplicants- Steve & Susan Hyde We are wanting to put a mini- home on our newly purchased property at 669 S 12 W Rexburg. It was built in Mill Hollow Trailer park in 2017with permits and inspections from the City of Rexburg so it has already been approved. It is a bully barn that has been modified into a tiny apartment- some of the neighbors have similar sheds. It is for my aging parents- an accessory apartment. We are aware of the setback requirements. The home had to be moved from where we purchased it, so we just set it up as it was before. Once we get the go ahead and can get approval on plumbing, electrical, we will finish setting it. We do not plan on having walkways but will have decks and a drive way. We will be planting trees and fencing to make it more private. We have a call in to see what it will take to hook up to the city, or use the existing septic on the property. It is above ground so we don’t foresee a huge need for storm drainage. It does have gutters over the doors. We realize the home and the property has not had the care it needs or deserves and it is an eye-sore. When we are done- it will be a beautiful residence and well taken care of.
