HomeMy WebLinkAbout19-00169 - Heads up letter to land ownersThursday, April 8, 2019 Dear Resident, CITY OF REXBURG America's Family Cnmmunily It has come to my attention that due to recent annexations that have taken place on Barney Dairy Road, an island of county lots has been created. Recent city policy requires that all properties surrounded by new annexation be included so as not to create islands. Providing services such as police, road maintenance, plowing, garbage and utilities becomes confusing and is not cost effective when portions of county roads are surrounded by city properties. The annexation will require a public hearing. At this time that meeting has not been set. You will receive a notice by mail when that meeting is to take place. It is your right to attend the meeting and to express any ideas or concerns. I hope you will see the logic in the annexation and come with helpful input.
