RE: Building Permit 17-00630
Dear Rasmussens,
This is a notice that your permit will be extended for 180 days and if no inspections are scheduled by
September 5, 2019, your permit will expire. This permit is being extended as per your conversation with
our residential inspector, Larry Beesley.
Recently, the City of Rexburg Building Department has undertaken an effort to go through existing
permits that have not been completed. The project at 1085 Greenside Loop, never received a final
inspection. The permit for the project was issued October 30, 2017, and the last inspection was
completed on November 27, 2018.
As stated in the 2015 International Residential Code, which has been adopted by the City of Rexburg,
“every permit issued shall become invalid…if the work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of
180 days after the time the work is commenced”. If you wish to resume work on an expired permit, you will
have to resubmit a new application and pay new fees. You can schedule an inspection by leaving a
message on the hotline (208.372.2344). Otherwise, the permit will be considered expired and the City of
Rexburg Building Department will deem this space “unfinished”.
Please contact Shauna, the city Permit Technician, if you have any questions. She can be reached at
208.372.2166 or shauna.eaton@rexburg.org.
Sincerely,
The City of Rexburg
Building Department
