All galvanized studs and joists shall be formed from steel that corresponds to the minimum requirements of the most current edition of the A.I.S.I, standards. 2. All structural members shall be designed in accordance with the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) "Specification for the Design of Cold -Formed Steel Structural Members" most current edition. 3. Provide all accessories including, but not limited to, tracks, clips, web stiffeners, anchors, fastening devices, resilient clips, and other accessories required for a complete and proper installation, and as recommended by the manufacturer for the steel members used. 4. Fastening of components shall be with self -drilling screws or welding. Screws or welds shall be of sufficient size to insure the strength of the connection. All welds of galvanized steel shall be touched up with a zinc -rich paint. All welds of carbon sheet steel shall be touched up with paint. Wire tying of components shall not be permitted. 5. All framing components shall be cut squarely for attachment to perpendicular members or as required for an angular fit against abutting member. 6. Studs shall be plumbed, aligned and securely attached to flanges of both upper and lower runners, except that in the case of interior, non -load bearing walls, studs need not be attached to upper or lower runners. 7. Splices in axial load bearing members other then runner track shall not be permitted. 8. Temporary bracing where required, shall be provided until erection is complete. 9. Runners shall be securely anchored to the supporting structure as shown on the drawings. 10. Complete, uniform and level bearing support shall be provided for the bottom runner. 11. Trusses shall be located directly over bearing studs or a load distribution member shall be provided at the top of the bearing wall. GENERAL NOTES 1. Adequate shoring and bracing of all structural members during construction shall be provided. 2. Any proposed field changes shall have prior approval from the Engineer. 3. Contractor shall verify all dimensions in the field. Any variation from the drawings shall be brought to the attention of the Engineer. 4. Details are representations/ depictions only.
