1
nature
Why is nature important to you
It improves your memory, helps you recuperate and even makes your sense of smell more acute. So turn off your computer and get outside
2
Nature brings our senses alive
Scientists recently found that humans have the ability to track by scent alone. Some humans rival bats in echolocation or biosonar abilities. Military studies show that some soldiers
in war zones see nuances others miss, and can spot hidden bombs; by and large these individuals tend to be rural or inner city soldiers, who grew up more conscious of their surroundings.
3
Nature can reduce depression and improve psychological wellbeing
Researchers in Sweden have found joggers who exercise in a natural green setting feel more restored and less anxious, angry, or depressed than people who burn the same amount of calories
jogging in a built urban setting.
4
Benefit of community education program
Lifelong learning. Education is a birth-to-death process, and everyone in the community shares in the responsibility of educating all members of the community. Formal and informal learning
opportunities should be available to residents of all ages in a wide variety of community settings.
5
leadership
Leadership development. Training local leaders in problem solving, decision-making, and group-process skills is essential to community improvement efforts.
6
More reasons
Institutional responsiveness. Because public institutions exist to serve the public, they are obligated to develop programs and services that address constantly changing public needs
and interests.
Integrated delivery of services. Organizations and agencies that operate for the public good can best use their limited resources, meet their own goals, and serve the public by collaborating
with organizations and agencies with similar goals and purposes.
7
Rest of reasons
Maximum use of resources. The physical, financial, and human resources of every community should be fully available and rationally interconnected if the diverse needs and interests of
the community are to be met.
Inclusiveness Community programs, activities, and services should involve the broadest possible cross-section of community residents without segregation by age, income, sex, race, ethnicity,
religion, or other characteristics.
8
I can do it on my own
People would have jobs.
It would classes be would take
9
This what our community needs
Lack of facilities
get everybody to involve Take online classes, from me.
10
We should start our own community education
We can have people start teaching classes.
We can also help us become a community.
