CIVIL SITEWORK FOR:
BEING PART OF THE SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF
SECTION 16, TOWNSHIP 6 NORTH, RANGE 40 EAST OF
THE BOISE MERIDIAN, MADISON COUNTY, IDAHO
VICINITY MAP
1.SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS FOR THIS WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY OF REXBURG
STANDARDS AND CURRENT ISPWC STANDARDS. THE DETAIL DRAWINGS HEREIN SUPPLEMENT THE CITY OF
REXBURG STANDARDS.
2.BED PIPE IN NATIVE MATERIAL FREE OF ROCKS LARGER THAN 1 INCH IN DIAMETER AS BEDDING. IF ROCKS
LARGER THAN 1 INCH ARE PRESENT, USE CRUSHED AGGREGATE OR SAND AS APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER.
3.ALL DISTANCES, GRADES, AND DATA SHALL BE CHECKED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO BID AND START OF
CONSTRUCTION. IN CASE OF CONFLICT THE ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY SO THAT
CLARIFICATION MAY BE MADE PRIOR TO THE START OF WORK.
4.ELEVATIONS SHOWN ARE TO FINISHED SURFACE OR PIPE INVERT UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
5.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RETAIN AND PROTECT OR REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL LANDSCAPING, TREES,
UTILITIES, DITCHES, CULVERTS, FENCES, MAILBOXES, SIGNS, LIGHT POLES, HEAD GATES, AND ALL OTHER
MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS. ANY DAMAGE DONE BY THE CONTRACTOR TO EXISTING STRUCTURES TO REMAIN,
SHALL BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED AT CONTRACTOR'S SLOE EXPENSE.
6.GENERAL LOCATIONS AND SIZES OF EXISTING UTILITIES ARE SHOWN ON THE PLANS. THEY ARE TO BE USED FOR
GENERAL INFORMATION ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY THE
APPROPRIATE UTILITY COMPANIES WHEN CONSTRUCTION MIGHT INTERFERE WITH NORMAL
OPERATION OF ANY UTILITIES. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE APPROPRIATE
UTILITY COMPANY FIELD LOCATE ANY EXISTING UTILITIES WHICH MIGHT BE AFFECTED BY CONSTRUCTION
PRIOR TO BEGINNING WORK IN THAT AREA. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING
SERVICE OF EXISTING UTILITIES AND FOR RESTORING ANY UTILITIES DAMAGED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION AT NO
ADDITIONAL COST TO THE OWNER.
7.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SECURING SOURCES FOR GRANULAR MATERIAL, DISPOSAL
SITES, AND ANY ADDITIONAL MATERIALS THAT MAY BE NECESSARY FOR PROPER CONSTRUCTION OF THIS
PROJECT.
8.CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROJECT SITE DURING ALL CONSTRUCTION INCLUDING
MAINTAINING TRAFFIC AND INDIVIDUAL SAFETY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, AND STORM EVENTS. IN THE EVENT OF
STORMS, CONTRACTOR SHALL ENSURE EROSION CONTROL MEASURES ARE IN PLACE TO MITIGATE
CONTAMINATION OF SOILS, ROAD BASE, AND ANY OTHER DAMAGE THAT COULD OCCUR. CONTRACTOR SHALL
ENSURE NEWLY PLACED CONCRETE IS PROTECTED DURING STORM EVENTS AND ENSURE THE SITE IS SECURE AND
PROPERLY SIGNED TO AVOID CONCRETE AND ASPHALT DAMAGE RESULTING FROM VEHICLES OR OTHER
FORMS OF TRAVEL.
9.IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR WATER REQUIRED FOR
TESTING, COMPACTION AND DUST CONTROL MEASURES.
10.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE REQUIRED TRAFFIC CONTROL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST EDITION
OF THE MANUAL ON UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES.
11.SITE ADDRESS: HAVE TO APPLY AT PLANNING AND ZONING FOR NEW ADDRESS

1.ALL WATER MAIN PIPE PLACED WITHIN THE CITY ROW SHALL BE DUCTILE IRON PIPE MEETING THE CURRENT CITY
OF REXBURG AND ISPWC STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS.
2.MINIMUM COVER OVER WATER LINES SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 6 FEET.
3.THRUST BLOCKS SHALL BE PLACED AT ALL DIRECTION CHANGES AND ENDS IN THE PRESSURE PIPE MEETING THE
2017 ISPWC, DETAIL SD-403. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY CAPS AND TEMPORARY END THRUST
BLOCKS AT ALL TEMPORARY WATERLINE TERMINATION POINTS AS REQUIRED DUE TO PHASED DEVELOPMENT.
4.ALL FIRE HYDRANTS TO BE WATEROUS WB 67-250, PAINTED RED AND INSTALLED WITH A KOCHECH MODEL SZ
MC 5045-3-7-Y STORZ FITTING AND CAP.
5.FIRE HYDRANTS SHALL HAVE TWO 2-1/2” DIAMETER HOSE NOZZLES AND ONE 4-1/2” DIAMETER HOSE.
6.WATER MAINS AND SERVICES SHALL BE PVC IN OWNER'S PROPERTY. WATER MAINS SHALL BE PVC C900 WITH
LOCATING WIRE INSTALLED MEETING CURRENT ISPWC AND ANSI/AWWA STANDARDS. POTABLE WATER SERVICE
LINE PIPING SHALL BE MINIMUM ONE INCH AWWA C-901 CLASS 200 SDR 7 IPS PE (UNLESS SHOWN OTHERWISE).
CONSTRUCT WATER SERVICE CONNECTIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT ISPWC DETAIL SD-401 AND
SD-402 INCLUDING METER BOX, PIPING AND FITTINGS UP TO BUT NOT INCLUDING THE WATER METER.
7.CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE AND INSTALL ALL WATER METER INSTALLATIONS WITH THE CITY OF REXBURG
MEETING CITY STANDARDS.
8.WATER PIPE SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM SEPARATION DISTANCE OF TEN (10) FEET HORIZONTALLY AND EIGHTEEN
(18) INCHES VERTICALLY FROM ALL NON-POTABLE LINES-SANITARY AND STORM SEWERS AS MEASURED FROM
THE EDGE OF EACH PIPE AS OUTLINED IN THE CURRENT ISPWC STANDARD DRAWING SD-407.
9.CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE LOCATION OF WATER METERS FOR SPRINKLING SYSTEM WITH THE OWNERS
SPRINKLER IRRIGATION PLAN.
10. CONTRACTOR TO CONSTRUCT AND EXTEND WATERLINES TO FIVE (5) FEET OUTSIDE PHASE LIMITS. PLACE
TEMPORARY BLIND FLANGE AND THRUST BLOCK RESTRAINT AT TEMPORARY END. IF MECHANICAL THRUST
RESTRAINTS ARE USED (SUCH AS EBAA IRON MEGALUGS) RESTRAIN 3 PIPE BELL JOINTS FROM THE TEMPORARY
END. MARK ALL END CAP LOCATIONS WITH A POST.
10.USE HOT TAP CONNECTIONS MEETING CITY OF REXBURG STANDARDS.
11.CONTRACTOR TO TEST, FLUSH, AND DISINFECT CONSTRUCTED PIPE MEETING THE CURRENT ISPWC SECTIONS
401.3.6 AND 401.3.9.
12.CONTRACTOR TO COMPLY STRICTLY WITH MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDING PULLED
JOINTS ON THE WATERLINE. USE STANDARD ELBOWS WHEREVER POSSIBLE IN LIEU OF PULLING JOINTS EVEN IF
THE JOINT PULLS ARE WITHIN MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION TOLERANCES.
13.ALL WATER MAINS AND SERVICES SHALL INCLUDE ALL LABOR, EQUIPMENT, MATERIAL, AND APPURTENANCES
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TEES, CROSSES, ELBOWS, VALVES, VALVE BOXES, FIRE HYDRANTS, FLUSH
HYDRANTS, THRUST BLOCKS AND ALL OTHER MATERIAL REQUIRED FOR A COMPLETE PROJECT.
14.CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL FIRE LINES/SPRINKLERS MEETING THE CURRENT VERSION OF THE INTERNATIONAL
FIRE CODE AND SHALL INCLUDE ALL APPURTENANCES (IF APPLICABLE).
15.IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL ALL REQUIRED BACKFLOW PREVENTION
DEVICES ON WATER SERVICES.
1.ALL SANITARY SEWER MAIN LINE PIPING SHALL BE PVC SDR 35 MEETING ASTM D-3034 STANDARDS.
2.ALL STORM SEWER MAIN LINE SHALL BE HDPE ADS N-12 WT IB TYPE S RIBBED PIPE (SMOOTH INSIDE) OR EQUAL
(APPROVAL OF ENGINEER IS REQUIRED),
3.ALL SEWER SERVICES SHALL BE FOUR (4) INCH PVC SDR 35 UNLESS SHOWN OTHERWISE. ALL SANITARY SEWER
SERVICES SHALL EXTEND FIFTEEN (15) FEET INTO THE PROPERTY AND BE MARKED WITH A 2”X4” POST.
4.SANITARY SEWER MAIN AND SERVICES SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 2017 ISPWC STANDARD
SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS. THIS SHALL INCLUDE ALL MATERIALS, LABOR, AND INSTALLATION INCLUDING
VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL SEPARATION DISTANCES AND SLOPE REQUIREMENTS. SANITARY SEWER SERVICES
SHALL COMPLY WITH THE CURRENT ISPWC STANDARD DRAWINGS SD-500, SD-511A, SD-511B, AND SD-512.
5.GRADE ALL FINISH SURFACES AWAY FROM MANHOLE LIDS.
6.TEST GRAVITY SEWER PIPE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT ISPWC SECTION 501.3.4.
7.CONSTRUCT ALL SANITARY SEWER MANHOLES MEETING THE CURRENT ISPWC STANDARD DRAWINGS SD-501.
8.ALL PIPE BEDDING SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT ISPWC STANDARDS AND STANDARD
DRAWINGS SD-301 AND SD-302.
9.MANHOLES SHALL NOT HAVE MORE THAN TWELVE (12) INCHES OF GRADE RINGS WHEN BEING RAISED.
10.STORM DRAINAGE SHALL BE DIRECTED AWAY FROM BUILDINGS IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE AND LOCAL
STANDARDS (IBC/UBC).
11.STORM RETENTION PONDS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED MEETING JURISDICTIONAL STANDARDS. SIDES OF PONDS
SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH 4:1 SIDE SLOPES TO ALLOW MAINTENANCE OF THE SLOPES.
12.INVERTS OR AREAS ENTERING THE POND SHALL HAVE RIP/RAP INSTALLED TO PREVENT EROSION MEETING STATE
AND LOCAL BMP'S.

1. ALL WORK TO BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER REQUIREMENTS.
2. DEVELOPER/CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR COORDINATION WITH POWER COMPANY FOR INSTALLATION OF
CONDUITS AND POWER FOR THIS PROJECT
