ANSI/TIA-222-G – Structural Standard for Antenna Supporting Structures and Antennas. AISC – Steel Construction Manual. ANSI/AWS D1.1 – Structural Welding Code. Wind w/o ice = 115 mph (3-sec gust Ultimate Wind Speed) Wind w/o ice = 89 mph (3-sec gust Equivalent per TIA-222-G Tower Code) Wind with ice = 50 mph (3-sec gust, 0.25” Ice)Topographic Category 1 Exposure Category C Structure Class II The following documents were provided: Construction Drawings – LTE4C 4T4R GeoStructural LLC, Revision 0, 09/27/18. When available, original service level ASD design reactions have been multiplied by a 1.35 factor for comparison in accordance with ANSI/TIA-222-G §15.5.1. According to the provided original design documents, the foundation system consists of a 7’- 0”Ø x 28’-6” long reinforced concrete drilled pier with an approximate 28’-0” embedment depth. Based on accepted industry and engineering standards, we have assumed that the original foundation system was designed to transmit the maximum global structure reactions listed in Table 4.3 to the underlying subsurface. Since the current analysis reactions are less than the original design reactions, the foundation system should be adequate to support the proposed loading based on this analysis (see Footnote 1 above). All data required to complete our structural analysis was furnished by our client and per our site visit and antenna mount mapping. GeoStructural has not conducted a site visit or independent study to verify existing tower structural conditions and the results of this analysis are based solely on the information provided. If any of the existing or proposed conditions (appurtenance loading, member sizes, foundation information, etc.) reported in this analysis are not properly represented, please contact our office immediately to request an amended report. GeoStructural has not conducted a site visit or independent study to verify existing tower structural conditions and the results of this analysis are based solely on the information provided. It has been assumed that the tower and foundation have been constructed according to the provided existing drawings, previous structural analysis reports, mapping documents, etc. The default Structure Classification is Class II in accordance with ANSI/TIA-222-G §A.2.2 & §A.15.3 and has been assumed for this analysis. The owner shall verify this classification conforms with original or desired reliability criteria. This analysis assumes that the structure has been properly installed and maintained in accordance with ANSI/TIA-222-G §15.5 and that no physical deterioration has occurred in any of the components of the structure. Damaged, missing, or rusted members were not considered. This analysis verifies the adequacy of the main components of the structure. Not all connections, welds, bolts, plates, etc. were individually detailed and analyzed. Where not specifically analyzed, the existing connection plates, welds, bolts, etc. were assumed adequate to develop the full capacity of the main structural members. No consideration has been made for unusual or extreme wind events, rime/in-cloud ice loadings, harmonic or nodal vibration, vortex shedding or other similar conditions. The capacity of the existing tower foundation cannot be verified unless the original foundation design documents and a soils report are provided. Certain foundation details (i.e. global dimensions, embedment depth, reinforcement, etc.) cannot be verified without extensive non-destructive testing. If desired, GeoStructural can provide these services under a subsequent contract. It is the owner's responsibility to determine the appropriate design wind speed and amount of ice accumulation beyond code minimum values that should be considered in the analysis. Miscellaneous non-structural components and appurtenances such as antenna mounts, arms, frames, coax supports, etc. have not been analyzed for their capacity and are assumed adequate to transfer the loads to the structure. No claim to their individual adequacy is implied. This analysis report does not constitute a tower maintenance and condition assessment. No certifications regarding maintenance and condition are expressed or implied. If desired, GeoStructural can provide these services under a subsequent contract. This analysis assumes that the tower members, guy anchors, etc. have been properly inspected and assessed in accordance with ANSI/TIA-222-G §14.2 (three year intervals for guyed masts and five year intervals for self supporting structures).
