No. 48, (item Number 54.) Here are my specific concerns: 1. It's not clear to me what exactly are the problems that need to be repaired. In the case of the sidewalk, I don't believe that the spalling amounts to 50%. (See the accompanying photos.) In the case of the curb and gutter, I haven't noticed anything wrong with it, and in any case, it's impossible to look at it on account of a substantial berm left by snow plow activity. Until 1 can be convinced that there is a problem, and understand the specific nature of the problem, I oppose and protest my inclusion in this L.I.D. 2. Some the allegedly affected curb and gutter appears to correspond with sections of concrete that were assessed in a previous L.I.D. (3501-0135) just a few years ago. If we are indeed talking about any portion of the curb/gutter that was replaced in the previous L.I.D., it doesn't seem fair that I should have to pay for the same section again. If a problem has developed in the new concrete, maybe it ought to be covered by a warranty, since the work and/or materials were clearly defective. At the very least, perhaps 1 can get credit for the portion I've already paid for once. 3. 1 wonder if any of the proposed repairs have anything to do with damage caused by the cable company that installed fiber optic cable on our property a couple of years ago. The company offered to repair whatever damage was caused by their work, and perhaps they should be held accountable. In terms of the proposed L.I.D., we need to have a clearer idea of what the inspector has in mind (which pieces of concrete, and what specific damage) so we can know who should bear the burden of the repairs.
