Rexburg, ID 83440 Reference: 18-00418 Steiner Block Rezone to High Density Residential 1 (HDR1) I am a property owner in the area between W 2nd S and W 3rd S; and S 3rd W and S 4`h W (Center of the below map). I have recently learned that the Planning / Zoning Departments are considering a rezoning action to change the current zoning of the area in the vicinity of Steiner Avenue from Medium Density Residential 1 and 2 (MDR1; MDR2) to High Density Residential 1 (HDR1). I am generally in favor of such action. However, due to the fact that BYU-1 is projected to continue to grow, and the need for Student and Community housing will correspondingly increase, I am Requesting that the Steiner Block Re -zone be changed to High Density Residential 2 (HDR2). As you are aware, this area is located only 2 blocks west of campus and thus such action will invariably be required in the future. There is no need to go through this process twice. The zoning change will maintain consistency with the current zoning on the East side of S 3`d W, and to the North of W 2nd S, both of which are HDR2. Thank you for your consideration.
