On May 1, 2017, Shalynn Lister of Leatham Legacy, presented to the City of Rexburg Planning & Zoning Coordinator a request and application for a zone change for the specified property located at approximately 703 West 7" South, in Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho to be rezoned from Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2) to High Density Residential 2 (HDR2) 2. On May 2, 2017, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in the local newspaper on May 9 and May 23, 2017. A notice was posted on the property and sent to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 3. On June 1, 2017 Bron Leatham presented to the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg, the Request for a Rezone for the specified property located at approximately 703 West 7' , in Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho to be rezoned from Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2) to High Density Residential 2 (HDR2) Steve Oakey motioned to recommend approval to the City Council of a rezone from Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2) to High Density Residential 2 (HDR2) for the property located at 703 West 7"' South as requested, to include the Community Development staff recommendation a. The lot shall be incorporated into the new subdivision that is currently being created to the west and south of the property. John Bowen seconded the motion. None opposed. Motion carried. 4. On July 05, 2017 at City Council File #17 00219 for Bron Leatham (Cook property) was reviewed. The Property Location is 703 West 7th South - Requesting to change the zoning from LDR2 and HDR2. Staff review: Sewer: The City has adequate capacity to handle the increased density for the rezone of this property. Water: The City has adequate capacity to handle the increased density for the rezone of this property. Streets: Because of the increased density to the area a roundabout will need to be installed at the intersection of Pioneer and 7th South. Once the roundabout is installed, access to the property will only be allowed off of Cornelison Ave. Council Member Flora moved to approve BILL 1167 to Rezone 703 West 7th South from Low Density Residential 2 (LDR2) to High Density Residential 2 (HDR2); Council Member Benfield seconded the motion; Mayor Merrill asked for a vote: Those voting aye Those voting nay Council President Smith None Council Member Flora Council Member Benfield Council Member Mann Council Member Busby The motion carried The City Council suspended the rules and considered BILL 1167 third read.
