Section 705
REVISIONSOpposing walls of building 1 & 2 to be fire rated
on interior and exterior where less than 10 feet
apart. Only one needs be rated on interior and
exterior where walls are 10 - 20 feet apart.
Other walls only require fire rating for bearing
walls as per construction type V-A.
Please identify exterior wall types for fire rating.

surface and sink in kitchen and at a type A
bathroom.

such that a 4" sphere may not pass through.
Emergency egress windows are required in all
sleeping rooms. Fire sprinklers have not been
an exception to this requirement since the 2009
IBC. The clear opening width shall be 20"
minimum (opening area of 5.7 sf minimum).
