NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO AMEND THE DEVELOPMENT CODE
FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG
Public Hearing: July 19, 2018 at 6:45 pm to be held before the Rexburg Planning and Zoning
Commission (#18 00349) to amend the current DEVELOPMENT CODE (Ordinance 1115) for
the City of Rexburg.
It is proposed to amend the current DEVELOPMENT CODE concerning substantive and
non-substantive items. All proposed modifications to the DEVELOPMENT CODE may be
reviewed at the offices of Planning and Zoning or the City Clerk’s office. The proposed
substantive changes amending Development Code Ordinance No.1115 (by section) are
delineated below:
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE DEVELOPMENT CODE
Amend and update High Density Residential 2 (HDR2) Zone to allow an urban form within the
infill/redevelopment area by increasing the density and reducing setbacks that promote walkable
streets and student housing within walking distances of the University’s Campus. Also, amending the
Pedestrian Emphasis District Map to include all of Block 4 of Parker Addition.
At such hearing the Planning and Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections and
recommendations relative to the Development Code that will be proposed. The City Clerk will also
accept written comments at City Hall prior to 4:00 p.m. on July 18th, 2018. This notice is given
pursuant to the provisions of Section 67-6508, 67-6509 and 67-6511 Idaho Code, and all
amendments thereof.
