Please see responses below to the Building Code Plan review comments. All revisions
are clouded with 2 on the sheets indicated below.
1. Not identified on plans, Default is Mercantile (M) for the display and sale of
merchandise and involves stocks of goods. Occupancy type needs to be
identified on plans.
Response: Please see sheet G-001 on the Building Code Analysis for the
updated occupancy classification.
2. Fireblocking will be approved based on inspection.
Response: Note has been added. Please see G-004 on the Building
Department Notes.
3. Did not find occupant load on plans. Default occupant load per IBC 1004 is 100
gross sf per occupant. That makes the occupant load 15 unless otherwise
submitted and approved.
Response: Please see sheet G-001 for Occupant Load Calculation table.
4. At least 36” of service counter no more than 36” above floor shall be provided for
accessibility. Furnishings are not shown on plans.
Response: Please see sheet A-106 Furniture Plan for the counter
dimension + Location
