I. BACKGROUND
The subject property is an area of unincorporated property bordered by the City of Rexburg on the
west and south. The property was a dairy and agriculture.
II. SITE DESCRIPTION
The site borders the Teton River on the north and Barney Dairy Road on the south. The subject
property is approximately 91 acres.
III. STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Commission take public testimony, and determine if the proposed
annexation can be approved, denied, or approved with conditions. The Comprehensive Plan
identifies the use for this property as Low to Moderate Density Residential and Open Space. The
requested zoning is Medium Density Residential 1, Low Density Residential 3 and Low Density
Residential 1.
Staff recommends that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the City Council to
approve the annexation of this property
