Mixed use occupancies meet the requirements of
IBC Section 508
REVISIONSBased on size of building it should have rated
separation between B & S1 occupancy and the
S-2 occupancy.
* As an existing building the actual separation
and rating is not identified on plans. Removing
the door between the service center and the
main section of the building without replacing it,
eliminates the existing separation and creates a
higher hazard. This door will need to remain or
have a properly rated door if being replaced.
Existing separation from the S-2 occupancy
needs to remain as is or meet required fire
rating if altered.

Handrails and Guards meet the requirements of
IBC Sections 1014 and 1015
REVISIONSRequired guards shall be 42" minimum above
the walking surface and the front edge of stair
treads

effort to store only low hazard, non-combustible
