On May 99 2017, Jonathan McMullin presented to the City of Rexburg Planning & Zoning Coordinator a request and application for a Conditional Use to allow reduced parking at 486 South 3' West. The applicant is requesting a parking reduction to 65%, The property is in the HDRI and is in the Pedestrian Emphasis District 2. On May 9, 2017, the City Clerk sent the Notice of Public Hearing to be published in the local newspaper on May 16 and May 23, 2017. A notice was posted on the property and sent to all property owners within 300 feet of the above mentioned property. 3. On June 12017, Jonathan McMullin ?? presented to the Planning & Zoning Commission for the City of Rexburg, the request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow reduced parking at 486 South 3`d West. The applicant is requesting a puking reduction to 65% . The property is in the HDRI zone. It is in the Pedestrian Emphasis District. Steve Oakey motioned to recommend approval to City Council of a Conditional Use Permit for the property at approximately 486 South 3`° West CHIC Roost), to allow a lowered number of putting spaces, to 65% through use of the Pedestrian Emphasis District and including the Conditions specifically. a. This project needs to be combined with the existing Roost development in order for it to meet the 10 unit requirement as well as the requirement for full size parking spaces. b. Staff recommends that the Commission recommend to Council the approval of this CUP with all of the Staff Recommendations listed from a. to t. Melanie Davenport seconded the motion. On July 05, 2017 at City Council File #17 00236 — The Roost was presented Requesting a Conditional Use Permit to allow a parking reduction to 65% through the use of the Pedestrian Emphasis District (PED), per the Rexburg Development Code. The applicant is requesting a parking reduction to 65% through the use of the Pedestrian Emphasis District; Council Member Flora seconded the motion; Discussion: Council Member Busby commended Mr. McMullin on the development; it is a nice addition to the neighborhood.
