Mr. Ball,
Per your request, the City of Rexburg Planning & Zoning Department has researched the approved parking number required for the World Gym business located at 730 West 7th South in Rexburg
Idaho.
After reviewing the files with the Community Development Director, Val Christensen, we found that the Certificate of Occupancy for this business was issued May 3, 2005. At that time,
the use of the building was reviewed and it was determined that the sport court would be required to have 3 parking stalls, the rest of the building was required 4 parking stalls per
1,000 square foot. Based upon the layout of this 15,000 foot building it was determined 59 parking spaces would be required.
The recorded site plan for this shared parking lot shows 152 spaces total with 59 of those spaces intended for the World Gym business and the remaining spaces for future develop. A cross
easement agreement will be required between World Gym and future businesses. The City of Rexburg has not received any concerns or complaints related to this business. Based on our records
we have no reason to believe that either the use of the property or the improvements thereon are nonconforming.
