Mixed use occupancies meet the requirements of
IBC Section 508 and Table 508.4
REVISIONSThe existing building was approved as V-B
construction (non-separated mixed use).
Sprinkler system was used to allow area
increase based on V-B construction. With no
separation required to the addition, show how
the entire building meets allowable area of a
mixed occupancy.

Combustible materials in Type I & Type II bldgs
meet req. of IBC Sect. 603
REVISIONSIf the addition can be considered II-B
construction without separation, combustible
materials are not allowed except as permitted
by section 603. How does the wood framing
comply with this portion of building.
