Executive Summary
FINELY TUNED BUILDINGS
This project consists of testing, adjusting, and balancing of three packaged roof-top AC units serving the
dining/seating area, kitchen, and restrooms. Two kitchen hood with two exhaust fan and make-up air unit and
two cabinet exhaust fans.
The following systems and equipment were included in the Testing, Adjusting and Balancing scope for this
project.

(1) Make-up Air Unit
(2) Roof Mounted Exhaust Fans
(2) Cabinet Exhaust Fans
Associated registers, diffusers, and grilles
Testing Adjusting and Balancing Procedures / System Posturing
Constant Volume Supply / Exhaust Systems (AHU / EF):
The systems and fans on this project are all constant volume systems. Fan totals on these systems were
first measured and set at or above design flow if possible, connected diffusers and grilles were then
proportioned via the proportional balance method as outlined in NEBBs procedural standards, outside air
minimum levels were set, and the fan speeds were adjusted again to achieve the design air flow requirements.
Final unit operating data was then collected.
