* Egress separation from main level tenants (rated?)
* Extra exit (still require 44" width?) - Leave existing studs?
* Stairs, 2 risers or more, require risers to be same height (within 3/8"), and
treads to be same depth (within 3/8"). Handrails on both sides with top & bottom
extensions where possible.
* Minimum head clearance is 7'6" (furred ceilings/protruding objects are allowed
with 7'0" minimum headroom for no more than one-third of room area)
* Means of egress (walkways, corridors, stairs) may have 80" minimum
headroom for no more than 50% of the means of egress element. Barriers shall
be provided for protrusions less than 80" above floor.
* The 49 maximum occupant load is needed to maintain a B occupancy and avoid
fire rated separation requirements.
* Verify minimum header size over opening in west wall of assembly room (a 4x6
was discussed as a possibility). It is likely the wall above is a bearing wall.
* Exit signs to be visible from room if placed on wall just outside opening into
room and should be installed at locations where path of egress becomes unclear.
* Previous consultation comments remain applicable.
