Box 280 12 North Center Street Rexburg, Idaho 83440 Phone(208)359-3020 Fax (208) 359-3022 e-mail rexburg@srv.net It has been brought to the City's attention that the property owners at 1322 S. 2"d East (Lyle and Diane Simmons) have tried repeatedly to assert that the physical address of their property is 1300 S. 2"d East and that they have wanted the City to change it for over two years. This particular address does not fall on their property and the address as assigned by the City was originally 1322. The property owners have been told the address would not be changed several times (Work order on 9-25-01). When I recently brought this to Ms. Simmons attention she stated that they were going to continue to use the incorrect address and to not send them any communication (letters) saying otherwise. We do not self assign addresses within the City of Rexburg. Therefore, I am asking that any database you may maintain be changed to reflect the correct City assigned address (1322 S. 2"d East). Also to make note of the history behind this issue. The City will continue to seek further clean up of multiple erroneous addresses within the City addressing grid whenever problems are discovered. We will not maintain self assigned or customer preferred addresses in our database. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.
