Items that will need to be done to change home into a duplex.
-Units will need to be separated completely from each other by a 1hr separation
wall and ceiling and 20 minute doors.
-Determine witch unit will have access to garage and protect appropriately.
-Egress windows needed in each bedroom(upper and lower levels.
-Smoke detectors in each bedroom with a combination Smoke/C.O. detector
outside of bedrooms. Smoke detectors should be connected one with another if
at all possible.
-10# ABC fire ext. in each kitchen both levels.
-Hand rail and guard rail needed on steps going down stairs.
-Parking; 2 parking stalls for each unit.
***Is it possible to back out onto the street?***
