-City/County/Rendezvous:
1st Alarm: Ambulance
Cardiac
Chest pain, High/Low blood pressure, High/low heart rate.
Diabetic
Seizure
Sick person
Hyperventilation, Fainting, Medical transport, and general weakness.
Overdose
Intentional or unintentional.
Respiratory/Shortness of breath
Asthma, COPD, Emphysema, CHF, and choking.
Suicide
Successful or Unsuccessful.
Standby
Community events, Fire alarms, and Law enforcement unknown.
Minor Trauma
Falls less than 10 feet, Minor lacerations, and Single fractures.
2nd Alarm: Shift supervisor and Duty Chief
Known person of size
Patient weight greater than 300 pounds.
Unresponsive/Unknown
Stroke
Cardiac Arrest
Major/Blunt Trauma
Falls greater than 10 feet, Gunshot wounds, Stabbings, and Multiple fractures.
***Mass Casualty Incidents***:
Defined: Five or more known patients.
Dispatch: 1 additional ambulance per two patients
