HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 129 APPORTIONMENT OF FUNDS 1909ail \I:I�n '�� CI'CY OF `\ REXBURG Arnr #uia'amilr Cnrrurnmitp ORDINANCE NO. 129 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF THE FUNDS OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, FOR THE YEAR ENDING WITH THE FIRST TUESDAY IN MAY, 1909, BEING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BILL OF SAID CITY FOR SAID YEAR. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, COUNTY OF MADISON, STATE OF IDAHO: SECTION I: That there be and is hereby appropriated from the General Expense fund, the sum of sixty five per cent of all monies collected during the fiscal year ending with the first Tuesday in May, 1909, for the usual and ordinary expenses of the City government, and for the purpose of paying the salaries of the various officers and employees and for the outstanding indebtedness. SECTION II: That there be and is hereby appropriated from the General Improvement Fund the sum of ten per cent of all monies collected during the fiscal year ending with the first Tuesday in May, 1909, for the purpose of making improvements of any kind of a public nature and the purchasing of real estate for City purposes, and erecting thereon any municipal building which may be ordained by the Mayor and Council of said City. SECTION III: That there be and is hereby appropriated from the Road and Bridge fund the sum of twenty four per cent of all monies collected during the fiscal year ending with the first Tuesday in May, 1909, over and above the annual poll tax to be collected in labor by the supervision of streets, for the purpose of paying the expense of constructing, improving, and repairing, the streets, avenues, alleys, highway, and other thoroughfares of the City. SECTION IV: That there be and is hereby appropriated from the Ditch Fund all the revenues derived from the assessments levied by the City upon the stock owned by what is known as the City Canal, for the purpose of cleaning, and keeping in repair the canals and laterals of the City, and for headgates, culverts, weirs, watermasters and secretary's salaries. SECTION V: That there be and is hereby appropriated from the Cemetery fund the sum of one per cent of all monies collected during the fiscal year ending with the first Tuesday in May, 1909, for the purpose of cleaning out ditches, laying off walks, planting and watering trees repairing fence and otherwise improving the cemetery. SECTION VI: No monies apportioned to any of the funds designated, shall be used for any purpose whatever than those designated but the residue of any funds if any there be at the end of the fiscal year shall be passed to the corresponding fund of the said City for the fiscal year next ensuing.
