ORDINANCE NO. 100
AN ORDINANCE CREATING A SPRINKLING DISTRICT, AND
LEVYING A TAX ON ABUTTING PROPERTY TO DEFRAY EXPENSE
FOR SPRINKLING THE SAME.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REXBURG, COUNTY OF MADISON, STATE OF IDAHO:
SECTION I: All the part of Main Street lying and between the City of Rexburg,
between the east side of 2nd East Street and the west side of 2"d West Street shall be
denominated and constitute Sprinkling District No. 1.
SECTION II: All that part of Sprinkling District No. 1 lying between 2 "d East Street and
midway between central avenue and 1" West Street to -wit: Two and one half (2 1 /2) blocks from 2"d
East Street in a westerly direction shall be named division No. 1 of said district. And all that part of
Sprinkling District No. 1 lying between 2nd West Street and a point midway 1" West Street and
central avenue to -wit: one and one half blocks from 2 "d West Street in an easterly direction shall be
named Division No. 2 of said district.
SECTION III: There is hereby levied and must be paid into the City Treasurer a tax of
fifteen (15) cents per front foot, upon each side of Main Street in Division No. 2.
SECTION IV: The assessments enumerated herein shall become delinquent on the first
day of August 1906.
SECTION V: An emergency existing this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and approval.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this the 23d day of
April, 1906.
