ORDINANCE NO. 211
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS, DESIGNATING CERTAIN FUNDS,
AND MAKING APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR, FOR THE FISCAL
YEARS BEGINNING THE FIRST TUESDAY IN MAY A.D. 1917"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REXBURG, COUNTY OF MADISON, STATE OF IDAHO:
SECTION I: That all moneys coming into the hands of the City Treasurer of the City of
Rexburg, during the fiscal year beginning the first Tuesday in May A.D. 1917, for taxation licenses,
fines, forfeitures, fees, rents, and all other sources whatsoever shall be and the same are hereby
apportioned to the following designated funds, to wit;
General Expense Fund
Water Works Fund
Road and Bridge Fund
Interest Fund
SECTION II: That there is hereby appropriated from the General Expense Fund the sum
of $11,350.00 for the purpose of defraying the general expenses of the City, the payment of salaries,
police, fire department and such other general expenses incident to the management and conducting
of the business of the city.
SECTION III: There is hereby appropriated from the Water Works Fund the sum of
$10,000.00 for the purpose of extending water mains and laterals, building and repairing reservoirs,
maintaining and repairing the water works system, and such other further expense necessary and
incident to the management and maintenance of the water works system.
SECTION IV: There is hereby appropriated from the Road and Bridge Fund the sum of
$5,000.00 for the purpose of leveling, grading, and graveling the streets, alleys, and highways of the
City, and for sprinkling repairing and maintaining said streets, alleys, and highways, and for the
purpose of constructing, repairing, and maintaining bridges over, across, and upon said streets,
alleys, and highways of the City, and the City's portion of cost and expense of improvements in
Local Improvement District No. 9.
SECTION V: That there is hereby apportioned from the Interest Fund, the sum of
$3650.00 for the purpose of paying interest on the bonded indebtedness of the City.
SECTION VI: That all revenues received from rents and use of Water from the City Water
Works shall be apportioned to the Water Works Fund.
SECTION VII: That all revenues received from any source whatsoever and not otherwise
appropriated shall be appropriated to the General Expense Fund.
Whereas an emergency existing, therefor, this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 31" day of July,
1917.
