ORDINANCE NO. 227
AN ORDINANCE DEFINING AND PRESCRIBING PUNISHMENT
FOR CERTAIN OFFENSES AGAINST THE CITY OF REXBURG VIZ:
DRIVING OVER FIRE HOSE OR OTHER FIRE APPARATUS, FOR
TRESPASSING ON CERTAIN PARKS, AND FOR PERMITTING
ANIMALS TO RUN AT LARGE WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF REXBURG: ADDING NEW SECTIONS TO PART III
OF CHAPTER 1 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
REXBURG RELATING TO OFFENSES AGAINST CITY
GOVERNMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
REXBURG, IDAHO;
SECTION I — That the following Sections be added to Part III of Chapter 1 of the revised
Ordinances of the City of Rexburg,
Section 119 — It shall be unlawful for any person driving or operating any vehicle upon the
streets of the City of Rexburg to drive over any fire hose or other apparatus being used by the fire
department of said city.
Section 120 — It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to lead, ride, drive any animal
whatever, whether such animal be attached to a vehicle or not, along, across or upon the public
ground known as city parks in the center of city streets where the same has been seeded to grass or
other decorative vegetation or to propel or drive any vehicle along, across or upon said public
ground or parks.
Section 121 — It shall be unlawful for any person or persons owning livestock to allow any
cattle, horses, sheep, hogs, or other animals to run at large within the limits of the city of Rexburg.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any sum not exceeding twenty five dollars.
Section 122 — Any person violating any of the provisions of sections 119, 120, of this
chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in any
sum not exceeding one hundred dollars.
SECTION II — This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.

Rexburg Journal, a weekly newspaper printed and published at Rexburg, Idaho and have personal
knowledge of all advertisements published therein that the notice of which the annexed is a printed
copy was published once a week in said newspaper as follows: Commencing with the issue of
Friday the 29' day of August, 1919 and ending with the issue of Friday the _ day of
1919 in the regular and entire issue of every number of said paper in said issues that the notice was
published in the newspaper proper and not in a supplement.
