AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING VOLUME V, UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, SIGNS, 1970
EDITION, FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: PROVIDING WHEN THE
ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO:
SECTION 1: Adoption of Building Code, Signs: A certain document consisting
of one volume, being Volume V, Uniform Building Code, Signs, 1970 Edition, prepared and
published by International Conference of Building Officials is hereby adopted as the sign
Code of Rexburg, Idaho. Said Code shall regulate and control the erection, construction,
quality of materials, location, electrification and maintenance of all signs and sign
structures, not located within building, within the City; and permits shall be issued,
fees collected, and penalties imposed as provided therein. There has been on file, and
there shall hereafter be kept on file, in the office of the Clerk three (3) copies of
said Uniform Building Code, Signs, Volume V, 1970 Edition, duly certified by the Clerk, for
use and examination by the public.
SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3; This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from aadaafter
its passage, approval, and due publication as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 7th day of May 1972.
