HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO. 711 SEWER AND GARBAGEORDINANCE NO. 711 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION IV OF ORDINANCE NO. 645 OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, WHICH PROVIDES FOR SEWER CONNECTION FEES; AMENDING SECTION I OF ORDINANCE NO. 650, WHICH PROVIDES FOR MONTHLY CHARGES FOR GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE FOR EACH OCCUPIED RESIDENCE AND/OR OCCUPIED RESIDENTIAL PREMISES WITHIN THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO; AMENDING SECTION II OF ORDINANCE NO. 650 OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, WHICH PROVIDES FOR MONTHLY CHARGES FOR GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE FOR NON-RESIDENTIAL PREMISES WITHIN THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO; PROVIDING THAT RATES FOR SEWER AND WATER CONNECTION FEES AND GARBAGE COLLECTION FEES SHALL BE SET BY RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO: SECTION I. That Section IV of Ordinance No. 645 of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, is hereby amended to read as follows: "From and after September 19, 1990, sewer connection fees shall be reviewed annually and set by resolution of the Council. Any connections not covered by resolution of the Council shall have fees set by the Mayor and City Council in each individual situation. Such fees are for the privilege of connecting to the City sewer and all work necessary for making proper connection shall be done to the satisfaction of and under the supervision of the City Plumbing Inspector and shall be paid for in advance by the person desiring such connection." SECTION II. That Section I of Ordinance No. 650 of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, which provides for charges for garbage removal service for each occupied residence and/or occupied residential premises within the City of Rexburg, Idaho, upon which refuse accumulates, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "FEES: From and after September 19, 1990, the City Council shall review annually set by resolution, charges for garbage removal each occupied residence and/or occupied residential premises within the City of Rexburg, Idaho, upon which refuse accumulates." SECTION III. That Section II of Ordinance No. 650 of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, which provides for charges for garbage removal service for non-residential premises within ORDINANCE NO. 711 -1- the City of Rexburg, Idaho, upon which refuse accumulates, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "FEES: From and after September 19, 1990, the City Council shall review annually and set by resolution, charges for garbage removal service for non-residential premises within the City of Rexburg, Idaho, upon which refuse accumulates." SECTION IV. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION V. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 19th day of September, 1990. ATTEST: Nile L.
