Fire Alarm System at Madison Memorial Hospital
I reviewed the change order plans for the fire alann system dated July
98. The following difficencies were noted:
1994 UFC 1007.3.3.1 Add manual pufl stations at the
locations:
South end of Coridor 1A2 by the exit, Entry 170, Stairway in
291, Stairuay in Foyer 250, Stairway in Foyer 207 , Entry 176.
NFPA 72 Sec. 64.2.2 Add Eilstrobes within 15 feet of the end of the
corridor:
Conidor 103, Conidor 101, Corridor 291 west end, Corridor 289 north
end, move hom/strobe Corridor 249 to the opposite wall, Hallway 247
north of automatic doors on north end within 15 feet.
UFC 1007.3.3.3.4 Provide visual alarms in public-and cotnmon-use
following
Corridor
areas: rro-s\ff;oo*':v
Change fr7, T.R. +(i6, Lkr 288,T.R. 284, Fam. Rm. 267, Family
Waiting 205, Men 229.
Add smoke detectors in the following areas:
f ntensive Care Unit, S.U. 263, Scrub 243.

NFPA 64.4.1The strobe in Mech. Room 222 needs to be a minimum of
60 candela.
UFC rc07.2.7.1.2 Provide documentation on the nursing cafl system
that it is listed for fire alarm servie.
UFC 1001.3 Provide information on elevator recafls system, as built
drawings showing voltage drop calculations. My book does not show a
listing for the weatherproof horn.
