L.3 or 7 404.2.L.4. 1444.2.1.2 One-hour exterior rooms. A one-hour exterior room shall be a room or enelosure separated from the rest of the building by not less than one-hour-rated fire-res:.stive construction. Openings between the room or enelosure and interior spaees shall be self-closinq smoke- and draft-eontrol assemblies having a fire-proteetion rating of not less than one hour. Rooms shall have at least one exterior wal1 which is provid.ed '*ith at least two vents. Eaeh vent shall not be less than 35 sguare inehes (0.023 m2) in area.
