cabinet in aeeordance with Seetions 7 4A4.2.L.2 , 7 4C4. 2. L.3 or
7 404.2.L.4.
1444.2.1.2 One-hour exterior rooms. A one-hour exterior room
shall be a room or enelosure separated from the rest of the
building by not less than one-hour-rated fire-res:.stive
construction. Openings between the room or enelosure and interior
spaees shall be self-closinq smoke- and draft-eontrol assemblies
having a fire-proteetion rating of not less than one hour. Rooms
shall have at least one exterior wal1 which is provid.ed '*ith at
least two vents. Eaeh vent shall not be less than 35 sguare
inehes (0.023 m2) in area. One vent. shall be within 6 inehes
(152.4 mm) of the floor and one shall be within 6 inehes (152.4
mm) of the eeiling. Containers of medieal gases shall be provided
with at least one fire sprinkler to provide container eooling in
case of fire.
7404,2.L.3 One-hour interior room. When an exterior waI1 cannot
be provided for the room, automatie sprinklers shall be installed
within the room. The room shall be exhausted through a duct to
the exterior. Makeup air to the room shall be taken from the
exterior.
