did and that was the reason for the Special Use Pennit.

the sign is about 30 feet high.
Commissioner Warner asked about the height of the flag pole. Mr. Jenkins stated that
the flag is about 50' high, The sign will be lower than the flag pole.

Commissioner Moore asked if the sign would be neon. Mr. Jenkins stated that it would
be not be neon and would be exactly like the current sign only taller. The sign does not
blink and is internally illuminated.

Commissioner Warner moved to approve the Special Use Permit for Tadd Jenkins
Chevrolet, formerly Rigby Chevrolet to increase the sign height as the application
states. Commissioner Bennett seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passes.

GENERAL BACKGROUND:
1. On February 12,2014 an application for a special use permit was submitted to City of
Rigby Planning and Zoning Office by TJ Family Enterprises, Inc.
2. The property is located at 380 Farnsworth, Rigby, Idaho. A complete legal
desoiption is available at city hall.
The property is 2.8 acres.
The property is currently zoned Commercial (C).
The application was deemed complete and scheduled for public hearing on March 13,20r4.
5. The public hearing notice was sent to the Jefferson Star for publication on February
26 and March 5, 2014.
7. A notice of the public hearing was posted on the property on February 21, 2014.
8. On Febnnry 21, 2014 a notice of public hearing was sent to 12 properfy owners
within 300 feet of the above mentioned property as required by the Idaho Code g67-
6512b and Rigby City Ordinance 10-10-6.
9. The public hearing notice was published in the Jefferson Staro Rigby's Official
Newspaper, on February 26 and March 5, 20l4as required by Idaho Code g67-6512b
and Rigby City Ordinance l0-10-6.
10. The public hearing notice was posted on the front door of City Hall and on the city
website on February 25, 2014.
