Surface Preparation
1. Remove all dirt and oil residue.
2. Dry surface completely
3. Remove all chipping paint, rust and old decals.4. Repaint if necessary.
5. Air and surface temperature must be between 40. - 1OO.F for decal to6. Heat gun may be required to remove old decals and pump skirts( DO NOT USE TH|S TOOLAROUND pUMp ISLANDI )

1. Make registration marks using a pencil, non-permanent markingpen or pieces oftape. Do not use chalk.2. For small decals, remove backing tape and align top edge withregistration marks.
Smooth top edge with finger.
Using the plastic applicator, apply remainder of the decal with firm.overlapping strokes.
(See Diagram)
5. Hold the decal away from the mounting surface to avoid wrinkles andpremature adhesion.
For Decals Largerthan 1 (one) Square Foot.

Using peices of masking tape, tape top edge of the decal in place.
Do not remove backing tape.
Apply 2" to 3" of masking tape across the top of the decal to serye as a hinge.Raise the decal up and peel back a few inches of backing tape.
Hold decal away from the surface with one hand and allow adhesive to touch only as pressure is applied.Using firm, overlapping strokes, rub the decal onto the new surface. Begin in the center and work out to theedges.
For pumpskirt application, make sure to wrap excess material back around edges and behind pump skirtpanel. (See Diagram)

WITH CONTROLTAC ADH ESIVE
Do not apply if surface temperature is below 50"F.
surface must be thoroughly crean, dry and free of wax or oil.
Remove backing paper, puiling from the top toward the bottom ofmarking. Discard the backing paper.
G_ently place marking into proper position."Tack" upper corners down with sright thumb pressure.
using plastic squeegee with very firm pressure, start at centerand work outward with short, ovbrrapping strokes over entiresurface.
Remember, firm pressure breaks the bubbles and activatesthe adhesive. Marking is now applied. Go over the entires.urface and edges again to mak6 certain marking is presseddown very firmly at all points.

TIP: lf initial pressure is not firm, air bubbles which mayoccur can be punctured with a needle-type pin.

Squeegee legend down firmly with
plastic applicator.
Lay legend, application tape side down, on
a flat surface and carefully remove the protec-
tive liner.
Pre-spaced
Legend is prespaced on application tape
Starting at top left corner, remove
application tape by slowly and carefully
peeling it down and back, flat against itself.
Align legend on surface, press down one
edge with thumb. Hold remainder of legend taut
and slightly away from surface with other hand.

PREPARATION OF SURFACE...
Remove any oil, grease, and dirt from application surface with a solvent wipe.
After wiping, dry the surface with a clean rag, then wash with a mild detergent,
rinse well, and dry again.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE...
1. Remove protective liner from back of emblem.
2. Slide the marking gently into place.
Prevent any presticking by avoiding
any pressure on the film. Then tack
the emblem in place by finger pressure
at the two points on the upper edge.
3. When marking is in position,
press it FIRMLY to the surface
with a squeegee, using over-
lapping strokes, starting at the
center and working out to the
edges.
Re-squeegee the edges,
using very firm pressure.
