Chief ChildlDale Pickering - Counfy Fire Hazard: Information was submitted showing the occurrence of fire during dry, hot and humid weather through the past five years. He showed a prediction sheet the Forest Service has provided and a rain prediction for August. The prediction is to continue to have above normal temperatures and winds, but there haven't been grass fires this year in Madison County. Jefferson County has posted a bum ban, but Dale Pickering recommends leaving it for now and doesn't see significant changes in fire danger thisyear. Brent McFadden - Benson subdivision Review & crIP - RE: Detached Garages: Brent would like to count the road as set aside to allow the Hernand ez family to build a home on their lot. The two acre per lot rule was put in place to control density. If we do not count the road as set aside, this home will be legal on this property. The right of way has gone from 60 to 50 feet. A home on the set aside will make someone responsible for the weeds. Commissioner Ricks recused himself from the discussion and decision . The subdivision was approved prior to the ordinance being changed making it clear that the road does not count on the set aside. Commissioner Ricks returned as Chairman. Brent McFadden brought a plat on the Benson Subdivision for Commissioners to review. Troy will review plats. We need to change how our ordinance is written or they need to change the covenants - they can't co-exist.
