RESOLUTION 2009 - 08
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO,
ADOPTING A NEW COMMUNITY SAFETY LIGHTING FEE.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain the overall quality of life experienced by its
constituents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to improve and maintain a safe environment for its
constituents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to collect from all its constituents an equitable fee that
reflects their appropriate share of operating costs, capital improvements, depreciation and debt
service for maintaining and improving lighting safety within the city limits;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and the Council of the City of Rexburg,
effective with the June, 2009, utility billing, the Community Safety Lighting Fee to be charged
shall be as follows:
Monthly Charge:
Single Family Dwellings
1.65
Apartments (each dwelling)
1.65
Townhomes (each dwelling)
1.65
Trailers homes(each dwelling)
1.65
Non -Residential Buildings less than 10,000 square feet
3.30
Non -Residential Buildings 10,000 feet or more

I, Jeremy Cooley, being first duly sworn, depose and say,
that I am the circulation director of the STANDARD
JOURNAL, a 3 times a week newspaper published 3 times
a week in Madison and Fremont Counties, Idaho; and I do
solemnly swear that the Notice of Public Hearing New
Community Safety L ightinc, Fee, a copy of :which notice
appears attached hereto, was published in the regular and
entire issue of said newspaper, and not in any supplement
issue, once each week thereof for two successive issues, the
first publication having been made on May 26, 2009 and
the last publication having been made on June 2, 2009.
Further, that said newspaper is one of general circulation in
said county; that it is a legal newspaper, conforming to
legal specifications under the Idaho Statutes; that it has at
least two hundred bona fide subscribers living within the
county of publication; and that it has been continuously and
ninterruptedly published in said county during a period of
.,eventy-eight consecutive weeks prior to the first
publication e said notice.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NEW COMMUNITY SAFETY LIGHTING
FEE
CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO
A public hearing will be held for the considera
tion of the proposed fee at City Hall, 12 N.
Center. Rexburg, Idaho, at 8:00 pm, on
June 3. 2009. All interested persons are
invited to appear and show cause, if any,
why such fee should or should not be
adopted. Additional information is available
at City Hall during the regular office hours
(8 am to 4 pm, weekdays).
City Hall is accessible to persons with
disabilities. Anyone desiring
accommodations for disabilities related to
the budget documents or to the hearing
should contact City Hall, 359-3020 at least
48 hours prior to the public hearing The
following fee increase resolution is
proposed:
