RESOLUTION FOR AMENDING
VISION 2020 REXBURG COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Resolution 2010 - 07
WHEREAS, on the 05`h day of May, 2010, the City Council for the City of Rexburg was
duly convened upon notice properly given and a quorum was duly noted; and
WHEREAS, in a Land Use Public Hearing on the 1" day of April, 2010, the Planning and
Zoning Commission recommended to add a Mixed Use Land Designation to Downtown
Commercial Land Use Designations; and
WHEREAS, the mixed -use concept has been encouraged in the past and will continue to be
strongly encouraged as Rexburg's downtown makes the transition from being primarily a
transportation route, to a more pedestrian -friendly environment with low through -traffic
volumes including the addition of proposed Collector Streets, Minor Arterial Streets, Major
Arterial Streets, Commercial Nodes and Neighborhood Nodes as presented in the current
City of Rexburg Vision 2020 Comprehensive Plan;
WHEREAS, Downtown is a mixed -use center which includes retail, office, residential,
entertainment, culture and educational facilities;
NOW THEREFORE, by resolution duly adopted on the date first above written, be it
resolved by the Mayor and the City Council the following:
The City of Rexburg does hereby accept and adopt the recommendation of the Rexburg City
Planning and Zoning Commission to add a Mixed Use Land Designation to the Downtown
Commercial Land Use Designation in the City ofRexhurg Vision 2020 Comprehensive
Plan.

I, Jeremy Cooley, being first duly sworn, depose and say,
that I am the circulation director of the STANDARD
JOURNAL, a 3 times a week newspaper published 3 times
a week in Madison and Fremont Counties, Idaho; and I do
solemnly swear that the Notice of Public Hearing to Amend
the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Rexburg, a copy of
which notice appears attached hereto, was published in the
regular and entire issue of said newspaper, and not in any
supplement issue, once each week thereof for two
successive issues, the first publication having been made on
April 17, 2010 and the last publication having been made
on May 1, 2010.
Further, that said newspaper is one of general circulation in
said county; that it is a legal newspaper, conforming to
legal specifications under the Idaho Statutes; that it has at
'east two hundred bona fide subscribers living within the
county of publication; and that it has been continuously and
uninterruptedly published in said county during a period of
seventy-eight consecutive weeks prior to the first
publication of the said notice.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TO AMEND THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public
Hearing will be held the 5th of May, 2010,
at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 35 North 1st
East, Rexburg, Idaho, before City Council
Of the City of Rexburg, Madison County,
Idaho, to consider amending the current
Comprehensive Plan. The proposed
change is to add a "Mixed Use" land
designation to the "Downtown Commer-
cial" land use designation in the Compre-
hensive Plan.
At such Public Hearing City Council will
hear all persons and all objections and
recommendations relative to the Compre-
hensive Plan revision that will be propos-
ed.
The City Council encourages all City resi-
dents to participate in the process to ame-
nd the Comprehensive Plan. Citizen's
comments may be submitted in writing or
by email during the fact finding period to
the City Clerk at City Hall located at 35
North 1st East, Rexburg, Idaho, prior to
4:00 p.m. on the 4th of May, 2010. This
notice is given pursuant to the provisions
of Section 67-6508, 67-6509 and 67-6511
Idaho Code, and all amendments thereof.
