The eave on the North side of the building projects into the area where the code will require it to be 1 -hr. construction. See the 1997 Uniform Building Code (UBC) Section 503.2.1 #2. Please provide details for eave fire resistance. 2. Please identify stair rise and run on exterior stairs. 3. Separate toilet facilities are required for each sex as per UBC Section 2902.3. The location of the two facilities suggests that you are planning on two same sex restrooms. Please identify how they will be labeled. 4. Please identify the windows close to the exterior doors as tempered glass according to UBC Section 2406.4 #6. 5. Show attic ventilation as per UBC Section 1505.3. 6. Provide attic access (22" x 30" min.) as per UBC Section 1505.1. 7. Show crawl space ventilation as per UBC Section 2306.7 8. Please identify on plans the design criteria used for structural calculations. Wind — 80 m.p.h., Snow Load — 35 lb /sq. ft., Seismic — Zone 3. 9. Provide truss details prior to frame inspection. I have not received the review from the Fire Department at this time. They may have further suggestions or require changes. The State Electrical Inspector has not reviewed the plan as of this date. Please make the necessary changes to the plans and return two corrected copies to City Hall. If you have any questions please give me a call at 359 -3020 ext. 324.
