The ADA parking requirements require two handicapped spaces when 26 parking spaces are provided. 2. Please obtain a development agreement from the City_ See John Millar the Public Works Director regarding this issue. 3. The Sales Room (Equipment and Parts Display) exiting does not meet the 1/2 diagonal rule for exit separation. Exit signs are required in this room as well as the Parts Storage Room. Please identify on plans. 4. Are all doors between the H -4 occupancy and the rest of the building 1 -hr. rated assemblies? 5. Special inspections are required for high strength bolting and any field welds. Who will be performing these inspections? Please provide us information regarding frequency of inspection and any details associated with these inspections. 6. The Fire Department has reviewed the plans. I have attached a copy of there report. Please provide the necessary information they have requested. Please return two sets of revised plans. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. City of Rexburg 12 N. Center Street Rexburg, ID 83440 Dear Mr. Christensen: August 19, 2002 I was contacted this morning by Mr. Mike Bressler of SteelVision Construction concerning a deviation from the foundation drawings which I prepared for the Pioneer Equipment building being built in Rexburg. The deviation, as I understand, is as follows: Page 4 of the foundation details (Column Foundation for Framelines 2 thru 5, Except 3E & 4E) shows 4 continuous #5 bars going around the anchor bolts and across the building to the opposite column foundation. The detail shows these bars below the 5" slab and below the top two #3 ties in the pier. Mr. Bressler stated that the bars were placed such that the top two #5 bars are actually above the top tie and the second two #5 bars are approximately 3" below the top ones. In addition the contractor used #4 ties instead of #3 ties. This deviation does not create any problems. As long as the top tie is near the top of the #5 vertical bars (within 2-3"), and the other 3 ties are spaced throughout the height of the pier, there should be adequate lateral strength for the pier. In fact, having the #5 cross -tie bars near the top of the pier is desirable. Use of #4 ties is also acceptable. Please contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely, 7Vam,(4- Brent G.
