This is in the process and should be completed within one week and will be established before any wood is added to the foundations. Smoke detectors will be provided in each sleeping room and in the corridors leading to the sleeping rooms. Building Official Notations: 1. Storm pond calculations are provided. See attached 2. Parking turnouts — See new Site Plan turned into John Millar 3. Trash Facilities — See new Site Plan 4. Accessible route — See new Site Plan 5. Dimensions — See new Site Plan 6. Stairwell has been opened to comply with IBC. See Attached Sketch 12. Stair System has been changed to read 11 inches. (Drawings were accurate, notes were not. 13. All lower units will be constructed as "Type B" units with the appropriate grab bar backing, accessible thresholds and all other accessible features. 14. Smoke detectors will be installed per fire code. 15. Bedroom windows do meet egress per IBC 16. Firewall construction, including draft stops have been noted and will be included in the construction. 17. Fire separation at the floors between units will be maintained by double sheet rocking the ceilings of the lower units with 5/8 type x sheetrock. 18. The only plumbing elements in the fire separation walls will be the drains for the bathroom sinks and a cast iron no hub cross with galvanized nips will be used with fireproof caulking at the separation wall penetrations. 19. The contractor had not followed your instructions on a couple items therein. I only found 8 of the 16 hold -downs required and they were HTT16, not PHD8 or HD8. All the exterior sheathing was fastened with staples, which "are not allowed for the shear panels and nailing spaces shown." They said you were okay on an alternate to these items. Also the IBC requires anchor bolts with 2 "x2 "0/16" square washers at the bearing walls in the crawl space. They have not installed any in those footings. Have you addressed the crawl space sill plate connections differently for them? He may have already made this request from you, but I need a letter from you regarding any changes made to your engineered requirements. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I had talked to the Contractor earlier to explain that hold downs are required at the ends of the shear panels and not in the center of the p nets. This item needed o be corrected.
