These plans have been reviewed for compliance to the IBC. The purpose of the IBC (and thus the
review) is to "establish the minims requirements to safeguard the public health, safety and general
welfare" (IBC Section 101,3).
This stamped and signed set of plans must be "kept at the site of work and shall be open to
inspection by the building official or a duly authorized representative" (MC Section 1 06.3.1). All
copies of building plans associated with this project must be duplicates of this approved set.
Any change(s) that need to be made to this set of plans must be submitted to and approved by the
City of Rexburg Building prior to starting any construction activity associated with the

Pipe Bollards have been added to assure vehicles
stay outside the building. Per my conversation with
the University of Utah the items being stored in this
area are 50 gallon drums of bicarbonate solution
(similar to a saline solution). Other storage items
include needles, syringes etc. They usually have at
most five 50 gallon drums at one time in the area.

The University of Utah Dialysis Frogram operates 8 dialysis centers in Utah and l In Idaho.
Presently we have 2 now sties under construction in Utah and as you era aware we have a
Planned facility for Rexburg, Idaho.
the Yellowstone Dialysis Center will be of enormous benefit to dialysis patients in the tipper
Snake River Valley, who currently travel to our dialysis center in Idaho Falls. The University is
making a si®olfieant investment to bring this medical service to the community of Rexburg.
Numerous individuals in the conuiaunity of Rexburg and the surrounding area have provided
sigificant support tv make this happen.
All of our =Tent dialysis buildings and the 2 wider coastructi.on have been considered Type 5B
=n-rated construction. None of these dialysis centers have an internal fire sprinkling system_ A]l
patients and staff are trained on initial entry to the center in emergency procedures to asid
including evacuation for fire or natural disaster. •Staff' are in serviced quarterly on these
procedures and patients on a yearly basis.
The patients who will come to this clinic are outpatients and come in for their dialysis treatment
3 times per week. At the conclusion of their treatment they normally drive themselves home.
Procedures exist to remove them from 1}ie dialysis machine in a matter of minutes thus
facilitating a rq:id evacuation of th® facility if necessary.
