Upon review of the site plan drawings submitted the following items need to be
addressed:
1. Fire Sprinkler System: Although not required for the intended occupancy, the
building does have a fire sprinkler system. If the owners are planning on leaving
the system in place it needs to be brought up to current codes and standards. If the
owner elects not to have a sprinkler system, the system, in its entirety, shall be
removed. (All piping, alarms, valves, etc.)
2. Corridor from conference room to bathrooms: The corridor along the rear of the
computer store terminates in a dead -end more than 20 feet from an exit. Please
rectify.
Additional plans may be required to complete an accurate plan review of this project.

Dear Randy,
I have reviewed the plans that you have provided me for the building located at 8
North Center in Rexburg and have identified the following discrepancies:
I. A more detailed plan is needed. The plans should be to scale and should
include all dimensions, door sizes etc.. The plans must be stamped by a
licensed architect or engineer.
2. Please identify the use of all spaces within the building. For an example,
identify office, assembly and retail spaces.
3. Section 3408.3 of the 2000 International Building Code (IBC) requires that an
accessible route be provided to all primary function areas.
4. Please identify mechanical changes.
5. Show all egress components, including exit signs and emergency lights.
Please return two sets of revised plans. Let me know if I can be of any further
assistance. If you have any questions, please give me a call at 359 -3020 ext. 324.
