If he is going to install a trash receptacle, he should have to do it now rather than have the issue be for code enforcement. I do believe his landscaping in general is installed, but not sure if it was completed around the perimeter of the building, which I think is why he was called on that over a year ago. think this is an interesting situation that has popped up a lot with temp CofO's. We should discuss this more as a group. Are we wanting to give people a temp cofo for minor issues, and then if they haven't completed them within the allowed time frame then we turn them over to code enforcement? When do we issue a full CofO? I would be inclined to not issue a full CofO until all issues are resolved either through the regular approval, or through code enforcement. My two cents. Gary From: JaNell Hansen Sent: Friday, August 29, 2008 1:54 PM To: Gary Leikness; Val Christensen; John Millar Subject: 05 00342 Please take a minute and look over this permit for the building built by Alan Cook on 1190 Stocks Ave. The approval tab needs to be signed off and I don't know if issues have been resolved on this building. A temporary CO was issued with trash enclosure and landscaping conditions. I think the landscaping was completed but the trash enclosure issue got turned over to Natalie. I would like to at least get the permit status from pending to issued if possible. Dear Gary, The following are our compliance responses per the attached review comments produced during your site plan review of the referenced project. We appreciate working with you on this project. Are we ok with this parking based on side yard set back, or will it need to be revised? The building will meet the side yard set backs as noted per the item above. The F -23 fixtures shown on sheet E -1 are only 10' in height and are located so that their lighting pattern at ground level will not cross the property line. This type of fixture (period fixture) will not adapt to a house shield and so we have located them so as to not be obtrusive on the neighboring property. Please refer to the detail and light fixture location on sheet E -1 and let us know if there are any additional concerns. We are available to discuss this further if neede 0 Scott L Nielson, A.I.A. Page 5 • Acknowledged • Acknowledged • Acknowledged • Acknowledged • Correct — full fire suppression will be installed • We would propose to move the fire hydrant into the peninsula on the east side of the parking between the 6 east parking spaces and the circle drive area if this would be acceptable. • Fire lane signage and curb painting will be added. • The General Contractor is in the process of securing a party to flow test the hydrant. The Civil Engineer will provide calculations for the new hydrant. These results will be submitted to the Planning office as soon as they are available. We asked the Contractor to have the flow test done in the presence of the fire marshall. Again, thank you for the opportunity of working with you on this project.
