IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT THE REXBURG PLANNING AND BUILDING DEPARTMENT Findings of Fact Preliminary Plat for Trejo Professional Park 1. On August 18, 2005, Terry Bagley presented to the Rexburg Planning & Zoning Secretary a Request and Application for a Preliminary Plat for the Trejo Professional Park. 2. On September 1, 2005, Terry Bagley presented to the Rexburg Planning & Zoning Commission the Request for approval of the Preliminary Plat for the Trejo Professional Park. The Commissioners were concerned with the Plat only having one access for public traffic. (There are two accesses, but the North East access is for emergency vehicles only). Commissioners asked if Mr. Bagley would be willing to dedicate the emergency access to the City. Mr. Bagley was concerned that the road would not be kept up as much as needed, but he would be willing to create an access agreement with the Fire Department. Mary Ann Mounts motioned to table the Preliminary Plat until Terry Bagley had a chance to speak with the Fire Department regarding the emergency vehicle access. Randall Porter seconded the motion. None opposed. Motion carried. (He will be scheduled to come before the Planning & Zoning Commission on September 15, 2005). 3. On September 15, 2005, Terry Bagley presented to the Rexburg Planning & Zoning Commission the Request for approval of the Preliminary Plat for the Trejo Professional Park. He explained that there was already a secondary access - through a parking lot from Trejo St. which then connects to Grand Ave. Mr. Bagley plans to go before City Council to request that they vacate the northeast access through Melaleuca and close it off to make it look finished. Mary Ann Mounts approved the Preliminary Plat for Trejo Professional Park with the condition that he address the former eastern extension of Targhee Drive, and that there is an Owner's Association agreement saying that the parking lot is public right-of--way. Mary Haley seconded the motion. None opposed. Motion carried. 4. September 21, 2005 City Council (Vacating street property in Trejo Professional Park:) Terry Bagley reviewed the proposal to vacate a street in Division One of Trejo Professional Park. He is seeking to use the street area in Division Two that was platted in Division One. Terry indicated that Planning and Zoning approved the Preliminary Plat for Division Two subject to the vacating this street area in Division One. The Council discussed the need to complete the sidewalk for this development on 5th West. Terry indicated that he will complete the sidewalks on 5th West for this project. Mayor Larsen reviewed the crossing for the Rail Road on 5th West. He indicated that it was an area that needed a sidewalk for pedestrian traffic. Planning and Zoning Administrator Hibbert reviewed the possibility of improving the crossing of the tracks by making a side road going south to Trejo Street from the Bagley property. He confirmed that the abandonment was recommended by Planning and Zoning. Council Member Benfield confirmed that Terry owned the land on both sides of the street that would be vacated. Council Member Benfield moved to vacate the Street area in Division One of Trejo Professional Park as requested contingent upon the completion of a sidewalk on St" West in front of Division One; Council Member Fullmer seconded the motion; all voted aye, none opposed. The motion carried. 5. September 21, 2005 City Council -Preliminary Plat for Trejo Professional Park Division No. 2: Kurt Roland from Schiess and Associates. Council Member Erickson moved to approve the Preliminary Plat for Trejo Professional Park Division No. 2; Council Member Fullmer seconded the motion; all voted aye, none opposed. The motion carried.
