Resolution.gr~,nting permission to close said street as requested, under the con- ditions as stated, eras introduced and read by Peter Taylor who moved the adoption of said Resolution. The motion on the adoption of the resolution was seconded by K. L. Poole and carried. The Resolution was ordered filed. ~aplication eras also made by the Oregon Sizort Line Railroad Company for permis- sion to change the road at the Corner o£ First IvTorth and Second 'west Streets. The Railroad Company were desirous of making the street across -part of Lot ^lvro, plock Thirty-one at the northwest corner of said lock. Said change to be made to eliminate a dazk~erous corner and street crossing because of the present main line track of railroad almost covering the en- tire street intersection. The present street mal~ing necessary the crossing of the track of railroad tvrice to make turn arour_d the Northwest Corner of 31ock Thirty-one. after a discussion Oswald Christenser_ introduced a Resolution granting permissim to the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company to cut off the itorthvrest corner of Lot ~vvo, plock Thirty-one, City of txburg, axed tc grade same for the purpose of diverting the traffic around said corner through the coi~sxer of said Lot, thus avoiding the crossing and re-cross- irk of railroad tracks; said new street to be graded on a level witl2 other streets, said grading and levellir_g, culvert requirements etc to be done by the Railroad Company. Councilman Christensen read and moved the adoption of the sa,i.d. Resolution. Councilman iiugl xi. ':7right seconded the motion.. on the:adoption of the Resolution and the motioxz carried.
